John Myers

Financial Advisor

John Myers serves as Financial Advisor of Worl, where he advises financial leadership, governance, and strategic financial management for the aerospace & defense precision machining enterprise.

John brings more than 40 years of executive experience in finance, program management, and engineering within the aerospace and defense industry. He has held senior financial leadership roles with full P&L and operational oversight, including CFO for Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Missile Solutions Sector and Defense Business Unit (L3 Harris Technologies), as well as Vice President of Finance Operations. In these capacities, he led financial planning, project accounting, government compliance, contract management, and cost structure optimization across complex, multi-site programs.

He most recently served as President of AeroAtlantic Advisors, LLC, providing management advisory services to the defense industry. His expertise spans acquisition valuation, merger integration planning, program capture strategy, Earned Value Management, Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes, and zero-based budgeting of direct and indirect costs. Myers also brings deep technical knowledge in solid propellant rocket design, design-for-manufacturing, root-cause failure analysis, and technology readiness assessment, allowing him to translate engineering complexity into disciplined financial oversight.

Earlier in his career, Myers progressed through engineering and program management roles at Atlantic Research and Aerojet, culminating as Chief Engineer and Executive Director of Development Programs for tactical missile systems. He led the capture and execution of multiple high-profile development programs, including the Patriot PAC-3 Attitude Control Motor, Extended Range MLRS, and Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS), ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance targets were met.

John holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and completed coursework toward an M.S. in Systems Engineering. He maintains a Top Secret security clearance and served as a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). He also served on Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering Advisory Board and the Committee of 100.
